Dr. Emrah Kandemir, Counsellor for Religious Services at the Embassy of Türkiye in Kabul, has confirmed that the TDV will be working closely with the Afghanistan Red Crescent to provide humanitarian aid. Mr. Kandemir met with Mr. Shahabuddin Dilaver, President of the Afghanistan Red Crescent, to discuss this collaboration. He stated: “Our nation is committed to providing support to those in need, regardless of their location. In this context, it is also very pleased to be working with our Afghan brothers and sisters.”
Kandemir informed the delegation about the activities of Türkiye Religious Foundation and discussed potential future cooperation with the Religious Services Consultancy, TDV, Turkish, and Afghan Red Crescent.
Shahabuddin Dilaver, President of the Afghanistan Red Crescent, said: “The Turkish people are always in our hearts. They have always been with us in difficult times, and we do not forget the help and support of our Turkish brothers and sisters, with whom we have many common points. We attach great importance to this and are very grateful.” He emphasized the significant value of the humanitarian aid programs, particularly the ‘goodness trains’ sent by the Republic of Türkiye to Afghanistan. He also highlighted the importance of the in-kind contributions and donations made by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and Türkiye Religious Foundation to Afghanistan, emphasizing their role in supporting those in need.
