inister Fidan delivered a speech at the inaugural session of the Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Fidan stated that the state of Israel was perpetrating acts of genocide. The population of Gaza is facing significant challenges due to widespread hunger, with more than half a million people facing starvation. The United Nations (UN) has declared a famine in Gaza at the present time. Fidan reiterated the founding principles of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation , emphasizing its establishment for the defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian cause. She articulated that any perceived weakness in these domains prompts a fundamental reassessment of the organisation’s very purpose and existence. Furthermore, Israel’s military offensive will not cease in Palestine. Minister Fidan expressed the following opinion: “It is believed that the attacks perpetrated by the Netanyahu regime in Syria, Lebanon and Iran, which are frequently characterized by illegality, will result in a significantly broader and more pervasive agenda, with the potential to engender profound destabilization across the entire region.” Fidan emphasised that if Israel is not stopped, it will engender significant problems in the Middle East and beyond, and stated that: “In this sense, we must be determined. It is hoped that the Palestinian people will attain freedom, peace, and justice with all possible speed.”
